AMAZING PRODUCT!!! June 4, 2009 the-millitia (south, usa) 50 out of 50 found this review helpful
I have tryed MANY tv sound amplifier systems and many more that are not advertised on TV. This is the only one that lives up to its promises or even comes close.
I have purchased listen up, loud n clear, , silver sonic XL, stealth secret, some other bell n howel crap. NONE come close to the ability of this product.
One it is directional, meaning i listen to what im looking at, not the overall general room, i can still hear other noises around me so its not like im deaf to the entire room if im just looking in one direction however its like whatever im looking at is right next to me.
It is also rechargeable. a HUGE plus
Adjustable volume level and its COMFORTABLE, something most other products are not.
Other products i have used amplify white noise, like the wind or static or other stuff i dont need to hear, it is very minimal in this product.
If you are looking for a hearing aid id really recomend this product. I do not have bad hearing so i got this more as a spy/toy thing however it has met and exceeded all my expectations. my father does however have hearing loss and he used it and finds it works wonders as well so im sure if you need hearing aid it will work dandy for you.
Again, ive tryed many many personal sound amp products. i strongly reccomend this one.

Best one I've had yet. I also have the Stealth, the Bell and Howell Silver Sonic, and the Loud and Clear. This Intelliear Plus rechargable reproduces voices with the least distortion of any of them. Also background noise is nonexistant. It will go about 12 hrs on a charge so its best to charge it every night while you are catching your ZZZZs.In my estimation it is the best performer of the lot.It comes with angled ear cones so it will lay closer to your face. Bell and Howell also has this feature. It might not be as pretty as the others but makes up for it in performance.
The Stealth and the Loud and Clear both have more background noise and voices aren't as clearly defined. The Stealth I have is rechargable and also lasts about 12 hrs. The Loud and Clear uses hearing aid batteries size 312. The Bell and Howell has less background noise and is clearer than the Stealth or the Loud and Clear. It uses two button type batteries size AG13 not to be confused with the size 13 hearing aid battery which is smaller. It seems that the battery operated jobs need battery replacment about as often as the rechargables need recharging. So the battery ones could get expensive to operate if used regularly. I would recommend going the rechargable route.
UPDATE 11-04-09 The instruction sheet claims a battery charge will last about 5 hours. I have found that to be true.I was so pleased with this unit I bought 2 more so when one goes dead it goes on the charger and another goes in the ear.
Great product February 5, 2010 Nites 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I ordered this for my father and it is wonderful. He can now watch tv without killing our ears and we can talk now not yell so he can hear us. Also the first one we get had a defect so I was a bit disappointed. I called the # to the company and they were great. I called, they said we will send u a new one & that was it. Two days later we got the new one and it worked!
Good product, excellent service. May 11, 2010 J. R. Cunningham (Knoxville, TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the IntelliEar for my 80 year old father. It was sent out right away and my father was enjoying it within a week. I call him and mom twice a day and now he can hear my conversation. He says he can also hear what people whisper when they don't think he hears them. Watch out mom! We reported a problem with the recharger and another IntelliEar was sent out right away. Love the service.
It does what it is suppose to August 21, 2010 Rodney Thompson (Arlington, TX, US) This is a great product. It does increase sounds and decrease background noise. However, if you suffer from inner nerve loss (damaged hair cells) this may not help you to understand speech. It is not a hearing aid and depending on your impairment in may not improve quality of hearing. I recommend getting a auditory exam before buying.
